SUBJECT: November 22nd HSA Newsletter

Teacher Coffee Coordinator Needed!

We are still looking for 1 or 2 people to help with the monthly Teacher Coffee dates. Each month, the HSA provides coffee, tea and breakfast items for teachers and staff during in-service days. This would require purchasing breakfast items (we have a budget) and setting up coffee, tea, drinks and food by 8 a.m. on the following in-service days - January 17, February 14, Mar. 14 and May 20th. The staff really do appreciate what the HSA does for them and it's a nice way to thank teachers for all that they do for our students. Please reach out to shmshsa.chairs@gmail.com if you are interested in helping out! Thank you!

Peer Grief Support Groups

Peter's Place brings grief support to children and teens in their own schools with the goal of providing students a safe space to talk to their peers about their own grief experience. Groups meet weekly for one class period. Each group meeting, they will talk about a topic related to grief and have activities that follow along to help express how they are feeling. Please reach out to your school counselor for more information.

LOST & FOUND

With the changing temperatures, there are lots and lots of hoodies, jackets, water bottles and lunch bags left at the Lost and Found. Please have your student check it for any lost items. These can be found in the cafeteria in the hallway on the way to recess. Parents are also welcome to come check in the front office and go to the cafeteria themselves to check for any missing items. All items will be donated by Dec. 4th.
