Panther Pride is Found Inside - PBIS

Panther Pride is Strath Haven Middle School's PBIS program  - Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. PBIS is a nationally recognized framework, developed by researchers from the University of Oregon, that aims to support students, staff, and schools in creating a system-wide framework of clear behavioral expectations and programming that supports the recognition of positive behaviors.

The four tenets of Panther Pride are: Stay Safe, Stay Responsible, Stay Respectful and Stay Kind. Students learned about the Panther Pride Matrix and were given a small card (Passport) with space for staff to 'stamp' or sign it, acknowledging that they are being safe, responsible, respectful and/or kind. When the Passport is turned in, students will receive a postcard in the mail, so families know of their recognition.  If a student has lost their Passport, they can ask their Advisory teacher for another one. Families should keep an eye out for a postcard!

The HSA will soon put out a signup genius to collect donations for incentives and rewards. Thank you for your support of Panther Pride!

Corporate Sponsors

Do you have a business or know someone who would like to become a sponsor helping fund all of the great activities that the Home and School support? This is a great opportunity to reach over 1,000 parents in the community.

For $150 the sponsorship includes a banner ad featuring the sponsor's logo on our SHMS HSA home page.  This clickable logo will lead the reader to the respective business website. The ad will remain on our website for the entire 2024-2025 school year.  If you are interested, please click this link: https://shmshsa.membershiptoolkit.com/form/m/210440

Direct Donations

Every year, the SHMS HSA actively holds fundraisers to help support the many programs that benefit our children. In addition to supporting our annual budget where we provide treats for grade specific events, treats for our teachers and staff, we support some initiatives in the best interest of our students. Last year we implemented improvements to recess with the addition of a gaga ball pit, volleyball net, soccer goals and getting chalk and other items out for our 'Playground Project'. This year, we would like to continue those efforts, and also raise enough money to get additional water filling stations in the building. We are asking for a $25 or more direct donation from each family to be able to fund this year’s planned activities. To make an online donation, please click here Direct Donations

Cash or checks made payable to: "SHMS HSA"

can be dropped off in the front office or mailed to the middle school:

200 S. Providence Rd. Wallingford P.A. 19086, Attn: Home and School Association. Please write “Direct Donation” in the notes.
