Welcome back! Hope everyone had a relaxing, well-deserved spring break!

Thank you very much to the whole student body for participating in this year's, first ever, coin challenge! For this coin challenge we asked students to bring in loose change in order to raise funds to purchase benches for the front of the middle school. The connections class in each grade who raised the most money will be given a party, chosen by the teacher and students, sponsored by the HSA. 

With you help we made a total of $1617.19! Congratulations to all.

So without further ado, the winners for the 2023 Coin Challenge are:

Mr. Ko's class raised $46.32, Ms. Confer's class raised $96.47 and Mr. Baer's class raised $292.11!

We would also like to thank the student council members for staying after school counting and rolling coins. It was a tedious job, but they were determined to get it done!

April 4 was Librarian Day and the week of April 4 -8 was Assistant Principal's Day. Although we were on spring break we did not forget Ms. Kahn, SHMS librarian, Mr. Krall, 7th grade assistant principal and Mr. Buecheler, 8th grade assistant principal. The HSA presented them each a small token of our appreciation. If you see them in the halls or out and about please be sure to thank them for always motivating our students, keeping them safe and for just being great!

April is Autism Acceptance Month. The theme, “Celebrate Differences,” will be running for its 5th year. Join us as we raise awareness to promote autism acceptance, to celebrate each individual's unique differences, and to foster inclusivity and connectedness.
